22:10 CET (GMT+2) - Driver of the bus organised for the transport from Zajecar to the rally was arrested on the road to Belgrade. The bus was confiscated, but the passengers bought off the whole regular line to Zajecar, trying to attend the rally.

22:02 CET (GMT+2) - Between 170,000 and 200,000 people attended the rally, reports our team that came back from the site of the rally to the studio.

21:34 CET (GMT+2) - The rally is over. The last to adress the crowd was Predrag Markovic, one of the authors of the Stability Pact for Serbia, who said that things have to change 'till September 21st. The people have started to leave the scene pleased with words of the leaders who adressed them today and with the number of protestants - over 150,000 people.

21:17 CET (GMT+2) - Number of the people on the rally is slowly decreasing. There were more than 150,000 people on the rally, report Agence France Presse.

21:15 CET (GMT+2) - Predrag Markovic, one of the authors of the Stability Pact of Serbia and the last scheduled speaker, is currently addressing the crowd. Rebeka Srbinovic from the New democracy and Dragoljub Micunovic from the Democratic Centre spoke before him.

21:11 CET (GMT+2) - nenad Canak, one of the leaders of opposition group Union of democratic parties, said to the reporters that there will be no more rallies, but instead the pressure on the government must be kept all time. He commented on his absence from the stage saying: "At the rally I am doing what I do best - helping the security". He said that the regime must step down with no bloodshed. "If the president must be impeached with an axe every time, we will never join the normal world", concluded Canak.

21:01 CET (GMT+2) - Among the policemen who are on the site of the rlly there are no ordinary policemen. All are higher ranking officers.

20:57 CET (GMT+2) - Digest of the Djindjic's speech - In an announcement of the events to follow the rally, Zoran Djindjic has set an ultimatum to the ruling regime in Serbia; should they not resign in the following 15 days, people shall stream into the streets. Street protests shall persist until the government representatives resign. "It's either them or us", concluded Djindjic.

20:50 CET (GMT+2) - Vuk Draskovic with 40 bodyguards left the site of the rally. During his whole speech the crowd chanted "Treason! Treason!" which confused him a bit.

20:46 CET (GMT+2) - Velimir Ilic, one of the leaders of the Alliance for Change and mayor of Cacak is addressing the crowd.

20:41 CET (GMT+2) - URGENT!!! AFP reports that there are more 150,000 people on the rally at the moment.

20:37 CET (GMT+2) - When Vuk Draskovic began his speech both whistled and applauses could be heard.

20:33 CET (GMT+2) - Vuk Draskovic is currently addressing the crowd, despite of the announcement that Spasoje Krunic will address in the name of Serbian Renewal Movement. Vuk's security passed through the security of the organisers and practically carried Vuk to the stage.

20:26 CET (GMT+2) - Spasoje Krunic didn't manage to address the crowd because they kept chanting "We want Vuk!" He thanked the organizers for inviting him to speak and said "I'll go get Vuk Draskovic!". Minutes later Vuk Draskovic appeared on the stage.

20:18 CET (GMT+2) - Two persons fainted from inhaling the tear gas.

20:16 CET (GMT+2) - One elder person was injured when someone had thrown tear gas in the crowd. He has cuts on his tighs. He was taken to the hospital.

20:12 CET (GMT+2) - Spasoje Krunic, member of the Serbian renewal Movement and president of the Belgrade government, is currently addressing the crowd.

19:36 CET (GMT+2) - Fire-cracker exploded on the site. Right after that the crowd started chanting "Red bandits" and whistling.

19:25 CET (GMT+2) - The rally (7:20 p.m. local time) has just begun by playing the hymn "Boze pravde".

19:05 CET (GMT+2) - Spasoje Krunic, who will address the rally instead of Vuk Draskovic, president of the Serbian Renewal Movement and former deputy prime minister, arrived on the site of the rally. It is still believed that Draskovic, despite the formal announcements, might appear and address the rally.

18:53 CET (GMT+2) - Some 75,000 people are currently in front of the Yugoslav Parliament on the site of the rally.

18:47 CET (GMT+2) - Mladjan Dinkic from the G-17, e of the authors of the Stability Pact for Serbia along with the representatives of the Serbian Orthodox church appeared on the site of the rally.

18:40 CET (GMT+2) - Traffic on the site of the rally has stopped.

18:31 CET (GMT+2) - Two Democratic Party activists were beaten up today when distributing leaflets about today's rally. Three young men attacked them, one of them had a gun.

18:27 CET (GMT+2) - Organized departures from Cacak and Pirot to the rally in Belgrade were cancelled because Vuk Draskovic won't address the rally.

18:19 CET (GMT+2) - Although organizators asked the people not to come to the meeting with party symbols, banners of the Democratic Party and Serbian Reneweal Movement and the Montenegrin ruling coaltition Da zivimo bolje.

18:14 CET (GMT+2) - Over 500 press accreditations were released for covering the meeting. More than half of them are for foreign journalists. Buses from Uzice, Cacak, Sabac, Pancevo and other cities in Vojvodina and Valjevo were spotted in Belgrade with people from Serbia coming to attend the rally.

18:07 CET (GMT+2) - The rally starts in less than an hour.

18:05 CET (GMT+2) - Some 30 members of the regular police forces were spotted near the site of the rally. there is still no sign of the special police forces, although two buses were spotted near the former office of Ministry of Internal Affairs bombed in NATO attacks on Yugoslavia, some 2 miles from the site of the rally.

17:48 CET (GMT+2) - The broadcast of the rally has started. Currently we're broadcasting music. On site reports and live broadcast from the rally we'll soon begin.

15:50 CET (GMT+2) - All bus departures from Cacak to Belgrade are cancelled since yesterday evening. Local officials of the democratic Party are organising bus transport to Belgrade for all those interested in attending the rally.
